We require an enthusiastic, patient, experienced Teaching Assistant to work in our Early Years setting.
The post is initially July 2019, but will be reviewed and has the possibility of becoming a permanent position.
We are seeking someone with a passion for improving outcomes for children. The successful candidate needs to have a:
- Patience and understanding to support children - essential
- A willingness to learn about individual needs and the ability to build relationships quickly - essential
- The ability to think “outside the box” when needed - essential
- High standard of English and Mathematics - essential
- Experience of working in a school setting preferable as a TA or LSA - essential
- Hard working and flexible - essential
- Excellent attendance and punctuality record - essential
- A willingness and drive for self improvement – we are looking for the very best for our pupils - desirable
- Proven record of supporting children to enable them to make accelerated progress in their learning – desirable
- Teaching Assistant Qualification Level 2- desirable
- Experience of working with pupils with complex needs – desirable
- We are looking for experience and are willing to support the successful candidate with their own professional development - desirable
The hours of work are 8.30am - 3.15pm with 45 minutes for lunch

Pre–employment medical check
You may be asked about your physical ability to perform the job during interview. As a condition of the Offer of Employment, the successful applicant will be asked to complete an Occupational Health questionnaire from which our Occupational Health Advisor will assess your medical suitability to do the job. You may be required to attend a medical examination.
On your application form you will be asked to provide the names and addresses of two people who will provide a reference. At least one should be from your current/most recent employer. If you are not currently working with children/adults at risk but have done so in the past it is important that a reference is obtained from the employer by whom you were most recently employed working with children/adults at risk.
Employment references must be provided by your current or most recent line manager and will not be accepted from relatives or people writing solely in the capacity of friends. However, your referees may include someone you know with standing in the community i.e. a teacher, vicar etc.
