Direct payments are payments for people who need support to live as independently as possible, and who would like to arrange and pay for their own care and support services instead of having them directly arranged by the local authority.
As part of the Finance Team you will ensure that Direct Payments to individuals are processed in a timely and efficient manner. Assist with payment queries raised by individuals, carry out reconciliations on individuals transactions, and report on non-compliance & recovery of excess or overpaid funds.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, pro-active team player with an eye for detail and a commitment to high quality customer care.
This is a part time (18.5 hours a week) role and although we will be as flexible as possible with the hours to be worked, there will be some constraints in order to accommodate business needs.
