We are looking for a temporary Teaching Assistant to work in KS2 from September 2020 until August 2021.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Enjoy working with children and who like and respect all children
- Are able to establish and maintain high expectations by developing clear boundaries reinforced through a firm and caring approach
- Are competent in English and Maths
- Want to join a friendly professional team who work together to improve the learning outcomes for every child in our school
- Have the attitude and ability to ensure that their contribution will make a positive impact on the learning opportunities for our pupils

The position is for 27.5 hours a week, working 8.45am to 2.45pm (or similar) Monday to Friday with a half hour lunch break, term time only.
Contract start is September 2020 and end date is August 2021.

Pre–employment medical check
You may be asked about your physical ability to perform the job during interview. As a condition of the Offer of Employment, the successful applicant will be asked to complete an Occupational Health questionnaire from which our Occupational Health Advisor will assess your medical suitability to do the job. You may be required to attend a medical examination.
On your application form you will be asked to provide the names and addresses of two people who will provide a reference. At least one should be from your current/most recent employer. If you are not currently working with children/adults at risk but have done so in the past it is important that a reference is obtained from the employer by whom you were most recently employed working with children/adults at risk. Employment references must be provided by your current or most recent line manager and will not be accepted from relatives or people writing solely in the capacity of friends. However, your referees may include someone you know with standing in the community i.e. a teacher, vicar etc. We take up references for all shortlisted candidates and wherever possible we like to apply for these prior to interview.
