We are looking for a committed individual to supervise our children at lunchtime as soon as possible. The role involves looking after the children on the playground and supervising them in the dining hall.
Duties will include:
Set up of the hall ready for lunchtime
Supervision of pupils immediately before, during and after the midday meal. This includes pupils who have a school meal as well as those who may bring their own food.
Supervision of pupils’ entry into the dining room, including any walk or journey to the dining room which might be required.
Assistance for pupils where necessary to carry trays to table and to return empty dishes to the correct place.
Some pupils may need assistance to cut up food and guidance on the proper use of cutlery.
Assistance in the clearance of any spillage as required.
Supervision of pupils in the playground or other area of the academy as required, dealing with any incidents of inappropriate pupil behaviour in line with the academies Behaviour Management Policy.
Organising play/games inside school on wet days.
To maintain confidentiality at all times in respect of school-related matters and to prevent disclosure of confidential and sensitive information.
Packing away dining tables and benches after lunchtime.
To undertake any other duties of a similar level and responsibility as may be required. King’s Academy
Binfield (KAB) opened in a superb new building in September 2018 with 120 in Year 7 and will grow year on year to a roll of over 1800 students, aged 3-18. The primary phase both at KAB and King’s Academy Oakwood (KAO), a primary school a mile away, opened in September 2019.
The post is for 10 hours per week (term time only). Hours of work will be 11.30am – 1.30pm Monday to Friday. There is also the possibility of working with our wrap around care provider (Funtastic Kids) supporting with the running of a breakfast club and an after school club. KAB and KAO are part of the King’s Group Academies MAT led by a team of former and current Ofsted ‘outstanding’ head teachers and Her Majesty’s Inspectors (HMI).
