We are looking for a passionate, talented, collegiate practitioner to join our dedicated team working within the Learning Support Department and across the whole academy.
The successful candidate will be part of a team of Learning Support Assistants based within our two academies.
Our new Learning Support Assistant will support children within the classroom, work with small groups and offer 1:1 support when needed. Experience of working with students with Speech and Language difficulties and ASD would be an advantage although not essential. They will share the academy's vision and the belief that all young people can achieve. Other necessary qualities include confidentiality, efficiency and being able to work on your own initiative and under pressure and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of King’s Academy Binfield (KAB) and King’s Academy Oakwood (KAO).
KAB opened in a superb new building in September 2018 with 120 students in Year 7 and will grow year on year to a roll of over 1800 students, aged 3-18. The primary phase including nursery, both at KAB and KAO, opened September 2019.
As new builds, KAB and KAO enjoy outstanding facilities, both internally and externally. We have appointed outstanding founding staff thus far, and now seek to add new staff to this key role as we expand. As a new and rapidly growing academy, this is a rare and exciting opportunity.
The post is for 32.5 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (term time only plus 5 days). Hours of work will be 8.15am – 3.15pm Monday to Friday. There is also the possibility of working with our wrap around care provider (Funtastic Kids) supporting with the running of a breakfast club and an after school club.
KAB and KAO are part of the King’s Group Academies MAT led by a team of former and current Ofsted ‘outstanding’ head teachers and Her Majesty’s Inspectors (HMI). Please note link to King’s Group Academies Vision and Mission - https://kingsacademies.uk/about-us/vision-and-mission/
King’s Education separately operates British schools abroad, educating over 4,000 students in countries such as Spain, Latvia and Panama, offering exciting opportunities for genuine international collaboration.
