We are looking for a passionate individual looking for a career in play-work for our busy after-school club. The role will focus on spending more time with the children and less time on paperwork.

Level 2 or 3 Qualifications in play work or childcare or working towards or willing to work towards would be an advantage but not necessary

Duties of the role include:

Helping ensure safe arrival of children at the club and the safe delivery to carers at end of day

Taking part in the delivery of safe, creative, appropriate play opportunities in a fun and caring environment

Keeping children safe and minimizing risks in the play environment

Providing snacks/refreshments to the children ensuring that hygiene, health and safety measures are met.

Administering first aid as appropriate

Being responsible for setting up the room, including moving furniture, and tidying the club rooms at the end of the day

Carrying out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities framework

Assisting with club administration, as guided by the After School Club Manager

Liaising with parents and promoting good communication within the School environment

Working within agreed policies and procedures, being aware of staff responsibilities around the Safeguarding of children in our care
