This newly created role offers the chance to make a real difference by driving quality improvement to ensure residents receive the high-quality services they deserve. You will work directly with providers, partners and regulatory bodies to influence outcomes, support innovation and raise standards across the sector.

This role involves hybrid working arrangements, with an expectation to work from our Time Square office or in the community for around four days each week, including time spent visiting provider services.

As a Quality Assurance Commissioner - Adults, you will be at the forefront of ensuring services are safe, effective and responsive. You will work alongside providers to identify opportunities for improvement, lead quality assurance activity, support service development and help shape a sustainable and high-performing care market.

Your work will directly contribute to better outcomes for residents, greater service quality and improved value for money.

You will be a skilled and influential communicator, with effective problem-solving and quality assessment skills. A life-long learner, with a passion for helping achieve the best outcomes, your work instils confidence, trust and credibility.

You will:

• Be passionate about improving outcomes for adults who rely on care and support services.
• Have the confidence to constructively challenge and support providers to deliver continuous improvement.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Be comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
• Have strong problem-solving and quality assurance skills, with the ability to interpret information and translate findings into improvement action.
• Be motivated by delivering meaningful change and achieving positive outcomes for residents.

Key responsibilities…

In this varied and rewarding role, you will:

• Lead quality assurance activity across a portfolio of adult social care providers and contracts.
• Work proactively with providers to drive continuous improvement and address areas of concern.
• Manage and coordinate Provider Concern processes where quality issues arise.
• Develop, implement and monitor improvement plans, ensuring measurable and sustainable progress.
• Undertake audits, quality reviews and monitoring activity to assess service performance and evidence impact.
• Build strong partnerships with providers, colleagues and key stakeholders across the health and social care system.
• Work closely with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and neighbouring authorities to promote quality improvement and market oversight.
• Contribute to the strategic development of services and help shape future commissioning priorities.
