Garth Hill College are seeking to appoint an experienced and capable administrator with an avid interest in Recruitment and Human Resources who has a flexible and a pro-active approach, to join the College’s Business Team.
The successfully appointed person will be responsible for the day to day administration of all aspects of recruitment and human resources at Garth Hill College. S/he will work closely with the Business Manager, Business Adviser and the College’s Senior team providing support on recruitment and HR matters.
The role will involve supporting the Business Advisor with all aspects of the recruitment process including organising adverts in national media and online, carrying out rigorous recruitment pre –employment checks including obtaining references and DBS. S/he will maintain accurate staff records using SIMS which will include absences and changes to contracts.

Pre–employment medical check
You may be asked about your physical ability to perform the job during interview. As a condition of the Offer of Employment, the successful applicant will be asked to complete an Occupational Health questionnaire from which our Occupational Health Advisor will assess your medical suitability to do the job. You may be required to attend a medical examination.
On your application form you will be asked to provide the names and addresses of two people who will provide a reference. At least one should be from your current/most recent employer. If you are not currently working with children/adults at risk but have done so in the past it is important that a reference is obtained from the employer by whom you were most recently employed working with children/adults at risk.
Employment references must be provided by your current or most recent line manager and will not be accepted from relatives or people writing solely in the capacity of friends. However, your referees may include someone you know with standing in the community i.e. a teacher, vicar etc.
