We are looking for a passionate, talented and rigorous practitioner to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be part of a team of Learning Support Assistants based within our two academies. Whilst you will be primarily based within the primary phase, there may occasionally be the need for you to support within the secondary phase.
Our new Learning Support Assistant will support children within the classroom, work with small groups and offer 1:1 support with identified students. Experience of working with students with Speech and Language difficulties and ASD would be an advantage although not essential. They will share the academy's vision and the belief that all young people can achieve. Other necessary qualities include confidentiality, efficiency and being able to work on your own initiative and under pressure and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of King’s Academy Binfield (KAB) and King’s Academy Oakwood (KAO).
KAB opened in a superb building in September 2018 with 120 Year 7 students. KAB primary phase and KAO both opened in September 2019. As of September 2021, KAB will have Year N, Year R, Year 1, Year 2, and Year 7 through to Year 10 and KAO will have Year R, through to Year 4. Both academies are run cohesively sharing the same leadership, staff, values, curriculum, opportunities and expectations of excellence.
The post is for a fixed term (1 year) 33.75 hours per week (8.30am to 3.30pm, 5 days pw, term time only) primary LSA. Flexibility to work additional days during the holidays may be required.
